Accomplishments

Since 1995, Erie DAWN has realized the following accomplishments:

• Resource and referral services provided to over 2,500 women
  
• 148 women and 225 children served with housing and supportive services
  
• Twenty-four qualified women awarded Wheels to Work
  
• Safe, affordable housing and follow-up services provided annually for an estimated 18 families
  
• 44 landlords committed to assist with housing
  
• 107 women trained as volunteer mentors
  
• Among the 83 graduates of the DAWN program:
  
  • 100% paid toward debt
  • 47 showed increased income upon exit by 20% or more
  • 22 or 27% became first-time homeowners
  • 6% trained to be mentors for the program
  • 100% achieved permanent housing
