Wheels to Work
"...assisting with the transportation needs of women"
If you are interested
in donating an automobile, contact Erie DAWN at 814-453-5921
Program Overview
The partnership of
the Wheels to Work Program, forged between Erie DAWN and individual donors,
addresses the belief that every person has the right to pursue a quality
of life which enhances ones self-esteem and dignity. The Wheels
to Work Program is a private/public partnership that makes good, used
cars available to working, low-income women who have little or no means
of reliable transportation to and from work.
The women who will
benefit from your generosity are working hard to build dignified lives
for themselves and their children. Maintaining full-time employment is
a key factor in supporting a happy, healthy family. Today, a car is a
necessity on their road to independence.
